Adventure Means Business: Sustainable Adventure Travel & Your Bottom Line

The Adventure Travel Trade Association is back at ITB Berlin with its popular AdventureConnect educational and networking gathering, taking place on Wednesday, 8 March at 5pm at Hall 3.1/Green Stage. This event is made possible thanks to our destination partner - Switzerland Tourism and Industry partner - Mhikes

We will be shedding light on key insights from the adventure and outdoor travel industry with the ATTA’s latest responsible traveler trends and sustainable event reports. First, featuring a lively panel discussion between destination representatives, hear practical examples and good practices of working within local communities to progress sustainability and net zero strategies. Then, pivot to a second panel discussion featuring an international tour operator, recognized media and digital solutions representatives who also play vital roles in destinations’ sustainability successes. Learn how they contribute to the big picture, what expectations they have as consumer liaisons and how everyone from local suppliers to destination managers can prepare for changing market expectations and enable sustainability by default to the next wave of adventure travelers.

This session will start with brief review of Adventure Travel Trends and will switch to a panel discussion with the following outstanding panelists:

The ATTA will be represented by our CEO, Shannon Stowell, VP Community - Mira Poling Anselmi, VP, Regional Development - Gabi Stowell, the regional directors - Gergana Nikolova for Europe & Central Asia, Hannah Pearson for APAC, Manal Kelig for MENA & Africa, Russell Walters for North America, Celine Fortin, Buyers Manager, Jason Reckers, Chief Operating Officer, Gustavo Timo, VP Growth & Product and Christina Beckmann, Co-founder, Tomorrow’s Air.  This is the perfect time and place for you to meet the ATTA team in Europe this Spring.

Following the dynamic and informative panel discussions, the AdventureConnect will transition to its second hour for casual networking while enjoying beverages and light hors d’oeuvres, made available to enjoy, courtesy of Switzerland Tourism.

Please keep in mind that registrations are limited. Register now to reserve your seat.

On-site check-in REQUIRED.
