From Marketing to Management. How all sectors of adventure tourism can work together toward destination stewardship

Join local adventure travel friends and colleagues for an in-person AdventureConnect gathering at Johnson & Wales University’s flagship campus in Providence, Rhode Island. On March 15, 2023, academia and industry will converge for a thought provoking panel discussion about the current shift in the industry, from Marketing to Management, and how all sectors of adventure tourism can work together toward destination stewardship. The panel will be followed by casual and fun networking.

The interactive panel discussion “From Marketing to Management. How all sectors of adventure tourism can work together toward destination stewardship.” will feature Heather Heverling, President and Managing Partner at Audley Travel; Steve Lima, Marketing Manager USA and South America, G Adventures, and Tracy Michaud, Assistant Professor, Tourism and Hospitality Program, University of Southern Maine. The panel will be moderated by Bryan J. Lavin, Associate Professor, Johnson & Wales University.

Following the panel, attendees are invited to participate in an on-campus networking reception and local tasting together with JWU students. Light refreshments will be served and there will be gear giveaways from our partners. The evening will conclude with an informal gathering at the Red Door (21+).
