AdventureELEVATE Latin America - Ecuador will be held in the Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito.

How to get to the Quito Metropolitan Convention Center (CCMQ)?

In order to reduce carbon emissions from the event, ATTA, the Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador, and Quito Turismo, are reducing the number of buses used to get to CCMQ, and are promoting the use of the Metro, as public transportation, to get to CCMQ.
In this way, AdventureELEVATE Latin America delegates will also be able to better connect with the city and its people.
CCMQ is located at "El Labrador" station, the last and northernmost station on Metro Line 1, in Quito. From there, it is a 3-minute walk to the event venue.
If any delegate prefers to take one of the two buses, they will leave 1 hour before the start of the event from Go Quito Hotel, and will return to the hotel at the end of each day.

Hosted delegates will stay at GO Quito Hotel.

GETTING THERE

The city can be reached by plane to the international airport Mariscal Sucre, located 40 minutes from the city.

For Hosted Delegates:
There will be flights directly to the start of your Pre-Adventure. 
All Pre-Adventures will end in Quito on 5 May. Day of Adventures (DOAs) will take place on 6 May.

Transfers

Hosted delegates will be transported from the airport in Quito to their accommodation; for Pre Adventures, they will be picked up at their accommodation.

The transportation of the hosted delegates throughout the duration of the event is considered and includes the following transports:

• Airport to hotel at arrival in Ecuador
• Hotel to the start of the Pre-Adventure
• Transfer to the hotel during the conference days, in Quito
• Hotel to event’s venue during the conference days
• Venue to hotel
• Hotel in Quito to the airport at departure day

All delegates will have included the transfer to/from the venue from a convenient location in central Quito. ATTA recommends the use of public transport and the subway for practical and sustainable transportation.

PRE-ADVENTURES

Ecuador tour operators have thoughtfully crafted itineraries featuring a combination of iconic landscapes and sites, off-the-beaten path places, distinctive experiences, and active adventures available. 

The Pre-Adventures are available for hosted delegates only.

DAY OF ADVENTURES

The Day of Adventure will take place on 6 May, all will start and finish in the city of Quito. There will be activities in the surroundings of the city. The Day of Adventure is available for all delegates.

Entry Visa Requirements and Entry Requirements

Foreigners may enter Ecuador upon presentation of a travel document proving their identity. Likewise, the immigration control agent must verify the immigration status invoked by the foreign person at the time of presentation at the official immigration control point.

CURRENCY

The current currency in Ecuador is the United States Dollar. At the Mariscal Sucre International airport you can find exchange places and ATM’s, they are available in multiple places within Quito as well.

ATTIRE

As with all ATTA events, the attire is ‘Adventure Casual’. Adventure Casual describes jeans or pants with a shirt or fleece, on occasion you may see a sports jacket or very casual dress.

WEATHER

The Region of Quito is the Andes of Ecuador. The average maximum temperature in summer is 19ºC / 66°F and the average minimum is 9ºC/ 48°F. In May the average temperature ranges between 19ºC/ 66°F and 9ºC /48°F. In May sunrise is at an average of 6:10am and sunset is at 6:20pm. The weather in Quito is very changeable, so it is best to dress in several layers of light clothing to cope with the wind and cold. Days fluctuate between windy and calm, warm and cold air, a little rain, a little sunshine, all in one day.

Note: If you are part of a Pre Adventure take into account the weather may vary drastically due to the changes in altitude that will occur during the trip.

CONNECTIVITY

WIFI
All hotels offer wireless internet connectivity. There will be free WIFI internet access during AdventureELEVATE Latin America 2024 at Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito.

Phone Signal
Signal on cellular and local phones is good in cities and urban areas. Some remote areas might have signal difficulties. SIM cards with internet can be available in Quito in main plazas or restaurants. An option can be to purchase one at the airport.

ELECTRICITY

In Ecuador, and in the city of Quito the standard voltage is 120 V, and the frequency 60 Hz, similar to voltages in the United States, Canada and some South American countries.

Important Notice: The ATTA highly recommends that all AdventureELEVATE Latin America - Ecuador participants purchase travel insurance to provide the level of protection and support you require during your involvement at the event and during Pre-Adventure activities.

¿Cómo llegar al Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito (CCMQ)?

Con el objetivo de reducir las emisiones de carbono del evento; ATTA, el Ministerio de Turismo de Ecuador, y Quito Turismo, están reduciendo los buses habilitados de transporte para llegar a CCMQ, y están promoviendo el uso del Metro, como transporte público, para llegar a CCMQ.
De esa manera, los delegados de AdventureELEVATE Latin America también podrán conectarse mejor con la ciudad y su gente.
CCMQ se encuentra en la estación "El Labrador", la última estación y más al norte de la línea 1 del Metro de Quito. Desde ahí, son 3 minutos caminando a la sede del evento.
Si algún delegado prefiriese tomar uno de los dos buses habilitados, estos saldrán 1 hora antes del inicio del evento desde Go Quito Hotel, y retornarán al mismo hotel al cierre de cada día.

¿Cómo llegar?

Se puede llegar a la ciudad en avión hasta el aeropuerto internacional Mariscal Sucre, situado a 40 minutos de la ciudad.

Para los delegados invitados
Habrá vuelos directos al inicio de su Pre-Aventure.
Todos los Pre-Aventures terminarán en Quito el 5 de mayo. El Day of Adventure (DOA) tendrá lugar el 6 de mayo.

Traslados

Los delegados invitados serán transportados desde el aeropuerto de Quito hasta su alojamiento. Para sus Pre-Adventures, serán recogidos en su alojamiento.

El transporte de los delegados invitados durante toda la duración del evento está contemplado e incluye los siguientes transportes:

• Aeropuerto a hotel a la llegada a Ecuador
• Del hotel al inicio del Pre-Aventure
• Traslado al hotel durante los días de la conferencia, en Quito
• Del hotel a la sede del evento durante los días de la conferencia
• De la sede del evento al hotel
• Hotel en Quito al aeropuerto el día de retorno

Todos los delegados del evento tendrán incluido el traslado a/desde el Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito a un lugar conveniente en el centro de Quito. ATTA recomienda el uso del transporte público y del metro para un transporte práctico y sostenible.

PRE-AVENTURES

Los operadores turísticos de Ecuador han elaborado cuidadosamente itinerarios que ofrecen una combinación de paisajes y lugares emblemáticos, lugares fuera de lo común, experiencias distintivas y aventuras disponibles.

Los Pre-Aventures están disponibles sólo para los delegados invitados (hosted delegates).

DAY OF ADVENTURES

El Day of Adventures tendrá lugar el 6 de mayo, todo comenzará y terminará en la ciudad de Quito. Habrá actividades en los alrededores de la ciudad. El Día de Aventura está disponible para todos los delegados.

Requisitos de visa de entrada

Los extranjeros podrán ingresar a Ecuador previa presentación de un documento de viaje que acredite su identidad. Asimismo, el agente de control migratorio deberá verificar la condición migratoria invocada por la persona extranjera al momento de su presentación en el punto de control migratorio oficial.

MONEDA

La moneda actual en Ecuador es el dólar estadounidense. En el aeropuerto Internacional Mariscal Sucre puedes encontrar casas de cambio y cajeros automáticos, también están disponibles en múltiples lugares dentro de Quito.

VESTIMENTA

Como ocurre con todos los eventos ATTA, el atuendo es “Adventure Casual”. Adventure Casual describe jeans o pantalones con una camisa o un polar, en ocasiones puede ver una chaqueta deportiva o un vestido muy semi formal.

CLIMA

La Región de Quito está en los Andes del Ecuador. La temperatura máxima promedio en verano es de 19ºC / 66°F y la mínima promedio es de 9ºC/48°F. En mayo la temperatura promedio oscila entre 19ºC/66°F y 9ºC/48°F. En mayo, el amanecer es en promedio a las 6:10 a.m. y el atardecer es a las 6:20 p.m. El clima en Quito es muy cambiante, por lo que es mejor vestirse con varias capas de ropa ligera para hacer frente al viento y el frío. Los días fluctúan entre ventosos y tranquilos, aire cálido y frío, un poco de lluvia, un poco de sol, todo en un día).

Nota: Si formas parte de una Pre Aventura ten en cuenta que el tiempo puede variar drásticamente debido a los cambios de altitud que se producirán durante el viaje.

CONECTIVIDAD

Todos los hoteles ofrecen conexión de internet inalámbrica. Habrá acceso gratuito a internet WIFI durante AdventureELEVATE Latin America 2024 en el Centro de Convenciones Metropolitano de Quito 

La señal de los teléfonos móviles y locales es buena en las ciudades y zonas urbanas. Algunas zonas remotas pueden tener dificultades para comunicarse. Internet puede estar disponible en Quito en las principales plazas o restaurantes. Una opción puede ser comprar en el aeropuerto una tarjeta SIM para conexión a Internet.

ELECTRICIDAD

En Ecuador, y en la ciudad de Quito el voltaje estándar es de 120 V, 60 Hz, similar a los voltajes en los Estados Unidos, Canadá y algunos países de América del Sur.
