Tourism as an instrument of peace.

AdventureNEXT Latin America 2023 - Bogotá ended with enthusiasm! The event’s theme “Tourism as an instrument of peace” allowed different keynote speakers and group conversations to understand ways in which tourism can promote peace in different destinations. Music was all around, showing us why Colombia is known as the country of the 1,000 rhythms.

The 234 adventure travel industry professionals representing 23 different countries gathered from 25-27 June in  Bogotá and the Central Region of Colombia. Latin America’s regional event is the best place for the adventure sector to meet and make new trade connections, networking, learn about current trends, and encourage new commitments among decision-takers for the sustainable development of the region. In particular, three important annual meetings came out with positive results; The Latin American Tourism Ministry’s High Level Group, the Latin American Tourism Boards workshop, and the Latin America Tourism  Associations annual gathering.

Additionally, at the end of the event it was announced that this was the last AdventureNEXT as a regional event for Latin America; beginning in 2024, all of ATTA’s regional events will be AdventureELEVATE, so get ready to join AdventureELEVATE 2024 - Ecuador!
