AdventureNEXT Near East 2019 will be held in the Jordanian port city of Aqaba, on the Red Sea’s Gulf of Aqaba. Inhabited since 4000 B.C., Aqaba is home to the Islamic-era Aqaba Fort and the adjacent Aqaba Archaeological Museum.
The coastal city of Aqaba is popular for windsurfing and other water sports. The area is a top destination for scuba divers, with notable dive sites including the Yamanieh coral reef in the Aqaba Marine Park, south of the city. Wadi Rum with its impressive spires, canyons and sheer rock faces is a 90-minute drive from the resort.
The Hyatt Regency Aqaba, Ayla Resort is a scenic retreat, nestled amidst towering mountains and dazzling blue lagoons on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba.
AdventureNEXT events will take place in indoor and outdoor facilities at the Hyatt Regency Aqaba.
Approved buyers and media are eligible for complimentary Pre-Adventures and the Post-Adventure. Other delegates may sign-up for a Pre-Adventure on a space available basis after all buyers and media have been placed on adventures and pay the tour operator directly for the experience. The Post-Adventure is only open to buyers and media.
The Hyatt Regency Aqaba, Ayla Resort is located about four and a half hours drive south from the new Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA). Considered to be the main airport in Jordan, QAIA is serviced by many global airline carriers and will be the main airport for the conference arrival and departures. Jordan Tourism has an office inside the airport if delegates need assistance upon arrival. Car rentals are available. King Hussein Int’l Airport, Aqaba (ACQ) is a six mile drive from The Hyatt Regency, Aqaba and there are daily direct flights from the airport to Amman. Jordan is working with a transfer company to book complimentary transfers between select hotels in Aqaba and the Amman Airport (AMM) on select days only. Please sign up for your desired transfer time before March 25, 2019. If you wish to transfer outside of these times or locations, please make your own arrangements.

Even though Jordan is primarily a Muslim country, the freedom of all religions is protected. Some traditional Muslim and Christian women choose to wear clothing that covers their arms, legs and/or hair, however, this is by choice only and no one is subject to these customs. Regardless, very revealing clothing is not appropriate and conservative dress is advisable for both men and women in the old part of Amman (downtown) and in smaller cities.

On April 1st, the welcome dinner takes place at the Hyatt Regency, Aqaba starting at 19:00. All delegates – both international and domestic are encouraged to attend, as it is included in your event registration and will provide an engaging networking opportunity.
