ATWS Scholarship 2022

The Adventure Travel World Summit is a unique opportunity for established tour operators and accommodations to seek out new partnerships and find inspiration with a collaborative group of fellow adventure travel professionals from around the world, while recovering and rebounding from the pandemic.

If you think your company would benefit from attending the Summit and if it will help you contribute to meaningful growth of the adventure travel industry, then we encourage you to apply for a Scholarship.

The deadline for applications is 11:59 pm (PDT) on 17 June 2022. 

Three applicants will receive:

• A complimentary membership in the ATTA for 12 months ($600 USD value)
• One ticket to the 2022 Adventure Travel World Summit in Lugano, Switzerland ($2,199 USD value)
• $750 USD travel stipend for airfare to Summit
• Credit for one self-paced Online EDU course (course restrictions may apply, but recipient will be able to choose from several courses) ($600+ USD value)

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on their unique strategies for making a difference in key areas important to the ATTA community:

• Making a positive economic impact on local communities
• Being innovative in order to conserve the natural environment and cultural heritage
• Efforts to combat climate change
• Efforts to address diversity and inclusion

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• A tour operator or accommodations provider that has been in business for at least three years
• Revenue is less than $250,000 USD a year
• Has not won an ATWS scholarship before

As the scholarship partner, Visit Sweden is supporting the winners, so at least one winner will be from Europe. Winners are selected by a committee that includes Visit Sweden, ATTA Staff, and ATTA Board members.

Application closes 17 June, 2022. Three winners will be notified 12 July, 2022.
