ATWS 2024 will take place at the Panama Convention Center in Panama City, Panama, strategically located on the Pacific shore of the Canal, on the Amador Causeway.

Panama City is much more than the country's capital. By Air 
You will land at one of the best airports in Latin America and the largest in Central America, serving as the main hub connecting the two Americas; Tocumen International Airport offers a significant advantage for destinations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

Moving towards Panama City

The Panama airport is located 24 kilometers from the city center.

Hosted participants will be transferred from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to the hotels and from the hotels to the International Airport. Dates will be announced by the Organizing Committee.

There are also other ways to get to Panama City from Tocumen International Airport:

Taxi or private transfer
The taxi from the airport costs between 30 and 45 dollars, depending on the number of people and the destination within the city (if each passenger is going to a different address within the same area, it is considered a shared trip, and each person pays between 15 and 20 dollars). Taxis are taken in the departure area, and it is always recommended to take an official one.

Panama Metro
The Panama Metro provides a connection between the city center and its main international airport, accepting globally recognized payment methods, thus facilitating the quick use of mass transportation services for visitors entering the country through the Hub of the Americas.

Hours vary depending on the days of the week:

• Monday through Friday: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

As this is a route intended for travelers, the presence of suitcases is common, which is why the luggage allowed corresponds to the maximum size of 100 cm x 75 cm x65 cm

The transfers to and from hotels to the venue of ATWS 2024, the Panama Convention Center, will be provided according to the event schedule for all participants.

To enjoy your trip to Panama, you must comply with the following documents and regulations:

• Valid passport, with at least 6 months of validity.
• Return ticket to the country of origin or the next destination to be visited.
• Present proof of economic solvency of a minimum of five hundred dollars (USD $500.00), either in cash, credit card, bank reference, work letter, or traveler's checks. Some nationalities may be required to present a higher amount. We recommend checking with the Consulate of Panama in your country or with your airline.
• Address of the place of accommodation and purpose of the trip.
• Some nationalities need to present their tourism visa before their trip to Panama. We recommend in case of, visiting the Panamá council in your country. Any other inquiries, visit the webpage of the National Migracion Service of Panama or consult with your airline of choice. 
• Vaccines for the Yellow Fever is mandatory for anyone traveling from Brazil, who must present the international vaccination certificate issued by ANVISA carried out at least 10 days before arrival.
  Exceptions:
  - Children under 1 year of age and adults over 60 years of age.
  - Travelers in transit in Brazil without leaving transit zones.
  - Holders of a contraindication certificate for medical reasons.

Accommodation:
The event will take place at the Panama Convention Center, located just 10 minutes from the heart of Panama City.

Transfers:
Located just 2 minutes from the airport, upon arrival, hosted participants will be transferred from Tocumen International Airport (PTY) to the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel, where they will be welcomed and taken care of by our hosts for rest before departing the next day for their Pre-Summit Adventures.

Transfers to and from hotels to the venue of ATWS 2024, the Panama Convention Center, will be provided according to the event schedule for all participants.

Taxi and Uber are available options throughout the city.

ATTIRE

As is customary with all ATTA events, the attire is “Adventure Casual”, which describes jeans or pants with a shirt, sometimes it can vary a sports jacket or a very casual dress.

CLIMATE

Rainy. October in Panama is a rainy month, with temperatures between 29ºC (84 F) and 24ºC (75 F).

CONNECTIVITY

All hotels offer wireless Internet connectivity. There will be free WiFi Internet access during ATWS 2024 in Panama.

ELECTRICITY

In Panama, the standard voltage is 110 V and the frequency is 60 Hz, similar to the voltages in the United States, Canada and some South American countries.
