Nearly 600 outdoor industry leaders from around the world came together in Panama City, Panama for the first Adventure Travel World Summit in Central America.

Known for its canal that connects the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, this bridge forever revolutionized the world. It set the stage for this year’s Summit theme of Connection, celebrating our shared bonds and efforts for creating a sustainable planet and future.

As we celebrated the 20th anniversary of the ATWS, we tapped into the strength of the community to organize a giant brainstorming session to leverage the collective expertise and experience. Together we generated more than 89 ideas and 9 springboards to chart the future of the adventure travel industry.  

From talking openly about connecting climate action plans for success to discovering the vibrant culture of Santa Ana and Chorrillo, we now understand why travelers come to Panama to “Live for more”!

Next year, the Adventure Travel World Summit 2025 will be held in Puerto Natales, Chile from 13-16 October. Register by 15 December to take advantage of 2024 early access pricing! Prices will increase on 16 December.
