Following the success of AdventureNEXT Balkans which took place earlier this year in Ohrid, Macedonia, the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) team is continuing its involvement in Macedonia with the first AdventureConnect in Skopje, Macedonia. Gergana Nikolova, (ATTA Development Lead - Europe) will host a gathering of Macedonian and the wider Balkans regional adventure tourism stakeholders to discuss the outcomes and lessons learned from the precedent-setting AdventureNEXT Balkans event and to engage participants in an organized discussion and planning of next steps for adventure tourism development in the region. Jointly organized with the Small Business Expansion Project (and supported by USAID and the Swiss Government), the in-depth two-and-a-half hour session at Public Room will cover outcomes and lessons learned from AdventureNEXT Balkans; small group discussions among the Macedonian and regional participants, followed by social networking at 7:00pm.

As a part of the ATTA’s overarching mission to serve as the hub and facilitator for responsible, profitable adventure travel businesses, destinations and media, AdventureConnect events offer our vibrant communities a chance to connect, network and grow. These events are hosted locally in destinations or conferences where the adventure travel community naturally gathers.
