Peru

Huk kallpalla / One Force

At AdventureNEXT Peru we will listen to traditional knowledge and wisdom by highlighting  the Quechua ancestral practices of community work. These include the rescue of the spirit of the minka –the collective work to achieve a common goal, the concept of ayni the mutual help that families give each other, and most significantly, the collective effort of the adventure community that moves forward as a single force – huk kallpalla.

Peru is a country of great geographic contrasts and an immense traditional wealth. Through the recognition of the legacies of Quechua culture, we expect to learn about the Tahuantinsuyo, the largest and most developed empire in pre-Columbian South America, how it managed to stay united for centuries despite the geographic features, and the influence it exerted on its neighbor countries though the Qhapaq Ñan and other roadway systems.

Delegates, suppliers, buyers and media will meet in Arequipa, from 5-7 December 2023, to learn about the current trends in the adventure sector through the keynote speakers, share ideas on workshops and roundtable discussions, have B2B marketplace, and hold one-on-one networking opportunities. Delegates joining Pre-Adventures will experience three regions of Peru, currently known only by early explorers. The internationally awarded Peruvian cuisine will add a special flavor to the time together.

Buyer and media applications are now closed.
