AdventureNEXT Peru 2023 will be held in Arequipa city. Venue will be informed promptly.
Alfredo Rodríguez Ballón International Airport in Arequipa is a 1.5 hour flight from Lima. There are also less frequent flights from Cusco. Lima’s airport has direct flights from 65 airports in 21 countries.
Hosted delegates will be transferred from the Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) to the hotels at their arrival to Lima, if they are spending a night prior to their Pre-Adventures. All Pre Adventures end in the city of Arequipa on 5 December.
At their arrival in Arequipa, hosted delegates will be transferred from the Alfredo Rodriguez Ballón International Airport (BPG) to the hotels. On the day of departure, 8 December, a transfer will take them from the hotel to the international airport.

Foreign nationals wishing to visit Peru may require a visa, according to their country of origin. Make sure you do not need a visa to enter Peru. It is the delegate's responsibility to acquire a visa, if needed. You can check if you need a visa or not in the link below.
As with all ATTA events, the attire is ‘Adventure Casual’. Adventure Casual describes jeans or pants with a shirt or fleece, on occasion you may see a sports jacket or very casual dress.
The climate in Arequipa tends to stay within comfortable temperatures, with an average of 61°F (16°C) in December, typically varying from 48°F to 73°F (9°C to 23°C). Most of the year Arequipa is cloudy, and presents low levels of precipitation throughout the year.
Note: If you are part of a Pre-Adventure take into account the weather may vary drastically in the region you visit, due to the changes in altitude that will occur during the trip.
Please know you will be in truly awesome remote areas and Wifi will be available at most of the hotels, restaurants, and event venues, however, you should be prepared for some digital detox moments!
Electricity: 220 V. Commonly, Peru uses plugs type C, however, some places still use type A or C, hence, it is recommended to carry a plug adaptor.
Important Notice: The ATTA highly recommends that all AdventureNEXT Peru 2023 participants purchase travel insurance to provide the level of protection and support you require during your involvement at the event and during Pre-Adventure activities and that cover Covid-19 related expenses.
COVID-19 Measures
The use of face masks is no longer mandatory. The vaccination card will no longer be mandatory to enter massive and closed events, restaurants, bars, museums, cinemas, sporting events, among others.
By choosing a Pre-Adventure, you recognize that neither the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA), nor its agents, servants, employees, and/or officers, are in any way responsible for any activities conducted by other entities. You further agree to Release and Discharge the ATTA and its agents, servants, employees and/or officers from any claim relating to either the selection of the other entities or the suitability of the entity to provide the indoor or outdoor activity. You recognize and understand that the safety laws, regulations, and requirements for any indoor or outdoor activity may vary widely from your home country’s similar laws, regulations, and requirements.
