Day 1 • Tuesday, 17 October

FIRST DAY IN CYPRUS

Your AdventureWeek begins with your arrival in Cyprus. You will have dinner and stay in an agritourism establishment at Lefkara village.

Day 2 • Wednesday, 18 October

EAST COAST EXPERIENCES!

Departure after breakfast and travel to the east coast of Cyprus. After around one hour the group will arrive at “Myloi Hadjiyiorki” Cypriot flour industry at the village of Frenaros. There, the group will process the wheat into flour and then into fresh baked village bread. 

Then, the group will visit a museum which hosts artifacts and interactive activities, helping you learn about the evolution of wheat production, flour milling and bread-making processes in Cyprus throughout the centuries.

The next stop is at “Musan” underwater sculpture museum in Ayia Napa, from the artist Jason de Caires Taylor. All participants will have the opportunity to snorkel and enjoy an underwater oasis. 

Then, the group will enjoy a seafood lunch right at the fishing harbor of Ayia Napa. After lunch, the group will walk at the famous Cape Greko, enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean and visit the tiny church of Ayioi Anargyroi.

The group will return Lefkara village where they will have dinner and rest.

Day 3 • Thursday, 19 October

MOUNTAINOUS AREA OF LARNACA!

Departure after breakfast and travel to the village of Melini, where the group will visit “Oros Maxaira” a honey producer company and learn about the hard-working bees and all the products they produce. The group will enjoy a honey tasting and create beeswax candles. After this, lunch will be at Vavatsinia Tavern and the group will then visit “Lefkara Handicraft Center”, which was created for preserving, developing and continuing the Lefkarite tradition in embroidery and silversmithing. The participants will enjoy two workshops: the “Lace biscuit”, when they will use biscuits to practice and draw the traditional Lefkaritika lace and the “Silversmith”, when they will try to carve a design!

The group will return to Lefkara village where they will have dinner and rest.

DAY 4 • Friday, 20 October

ADVENTURE DAY AT TROODOS MOUNTAINS!

After breakfast, the group will go to the region of Pitsilia for experiencing one of the most popular trails in Cyprus, called “Teishia tis Madaris”. The path is incredibly beautiful with the view of Mesaoria plain and Morphou coast. The area of Madari has an interesting geology due to its vertical rocks and the steep cliffs. There are several points where these rocks are on the side of the cliff making the view one of a kind. After the hike, the group will have a traditional picnic style lunch, which is called “Mesa Potamos” in the Troodos area. After lunch, the group will visit a donkey farm, owned by a local family whose mission is for people to understand the value of donkeys and to preserve the historic relationship between the Cypriots and this animal. After this, the group goes back to Lefkara village where they will have dinner and rest.

DAY 5 • Saturday, 21 October

COOKING CLASS & WINE TASTING!

After breakfast, the group will travel to the mountainous area of Limassol and specifically the village of Omodos, which is one of the largest wine producing regions on the island. The group will visit the Monastery of Holy Cross with its impressive wood carvings, walk within narrow alleys and cobbled squares, and pass through various traditional shops. The, at the traditional restaurant “Katoi” the group will learn how to cook a traditional dish, and of course, enjoy it afterwards! After this, the group will go to the nearby village of Kilani, where they will visit “Ayia Mavri winery”. This winery uses the indigenous varieties mavro, xinisteri, muscat of Alexandria, lefkada, as well as shiraz, cabernet, mataro, grenache and carignan. The group will then return to the hotel. For the evening, the group will walk to the village of Choirokoitia, where they will visit the Museum of Basketry and see unique exhibits of traditional basketry made of reed 'pokalami'. Then, the group will have the chance to see how the traditional cheese of Cyprus “halloumi” is made. For dinner, the group will have an authentic Cypriot BBQ prepared by one of the locals. After a great dinner, the group will go back to the hotel.

DAY 6 • Sunday, 22 October

CYCLING DAY AT CEDAR VALLEY!

Today the group will check out from Lefkara village, depart after breakfast and travel through the mountainous routes of Paphos until they reach one of the nicest areas in the forest of Paphos “Stavros tis Psokas”. This is an area with dense vegetation of scots pines, birches, oleanders, sycamores and many other plants. There, the participants will choose to go on a bike ride or a hike for one hour.

Lunch will be at the village of Lysos at Paradisos Hills. Then, the group will check in and have dinner at “Droushia Heights” hotel in the village of Droushia.

DAY 7 • Monday, 23 October

AKAMAS PENINSULA!

After breakfast the group leaves to the region of Akamas Peninsula, where they will hike the “Aphrodite trail” – dedicated to the Goddess of Love and Beauty. The trail starts from the Baths of Aphrodite, the place where the Goddess of Love used to meet her lover Adonis and take her beauty baths – it’s a small natural grotto shaded by a fig tree. While walking, the group will have amazing views of the sea and some endemic plants from the area. For lunch, the group will have seafood dishes in the area, and then, will enjoy a boat trip along the coast of Akamas Peninsula, passing by St. George’s church/island, Fontana Amorosa and then we will stop for a swim at the most popular bay in Cyprus – Blue Lagoon, famous for its beautiful white sandy bottom and blue crystal waters. After this great afternoon, the group returns to Droushia Heights hotel for dinner and some rest.

DAY 8 • Tuesday, 24 October

LIMASSOL + NETWORKING DAY!

After breakfast and check out, the group will check out and depart to the downtown area of Unesco city - Kato Paphos. On the way to Limassol the group will have a stop at “Petra tou Romiou” the area where according to the mythology, Aphrodite arose from the foam. It’s one of the most beautiful coastlines in Cyprus. The group will then arrive in Limassol, check in and have lunch at the hotel. After that, the group leaves for a sightseeing walking tour, visiting a medieval castle and the city fishing harbor. The group will then have marketplace meetings and a cocktail “Carob mill” complex. Tonight, the group will stay at hotel Harmony Bay, in Limassol.

DAY 9 • Wednesday, 25 October

DEPARTURES!

Departure transfers will be arranged to Larnaca and Paphos airport (depending on each participant’s flights).
