What to Expect

Cyprus in a Snapshot

Cyprus is located in the eastern Mediterranean, it is a member of the European Union and its currency is euro.

Population: 918.100 (end 2021). The island is demographically diverse, with 78.9% of the population Cypriots and 21.1% foreign residents. Cyprus, an independent sovereign Republic, has a presidential system of democratic government.

In a Compact Size

With just a 3,5-4 hours flight from the main European hubs, you will experience an island with many surprises.

The three and a half hour flight is actually the time that you need to cross/drive the island from east to west and the modern road network makes your journey a pleasant experience.

At approximately the size of a large metropolis, Cyprus can offer so many diverse landscapes and image changes, a unique advantage of Cyprus.

360 Days of Sunshine

Statistics from the Cyprus’ Meteorology Service indicate that we have 360 days ranging from 5,5 to 12,5 hours of sunshine per day.

Actually, the feedback that we receive from our business guests is that the weather and the blue clean sky of Cyprus provide them with a great energy for their meetings or for any kind of team-building activities outdoors.

It is not accidental that scientific studies have demonstrated that Cyprus has a comparative advantage in healing people who are suffering from seasonal depression, which is exacerbated by lack of sunshine.

A Culinary Journey

Due to the nice weather conditions, you will enjoy fresh local products.

Cyprus is also famous for its gastronomy which again creates wonderful opportunities for activities or for the social programme, such as cooking classes, barbecues by the beach or in the forest. Your groups may even experience demonstrations of traditional products or they can even participate in the whole making procedure of local products, such as olives picking and oil preparation.

In Cyprus we have a lot of traditions that are related to gastronomy, which is considered an integral part of our culture and our way to demonstrate our hospitality.

Languages

Greek is the main language, but English is widely spoken.
