Wellspring
From 15-18 October 2018, 785 adventure travel industry professionals from 67 countries gathered for the Adventure Travel World Summit in Tuscany, Italy, to reconnect with the essence of adventure. The Summit’s theme, Wellspring, called upon delegates to return to their source, revisit their roots, and reconsider the important role the adventure travel community holds within the tourism industry throughout the four-day event.

Tuscany’s natural wonders have always been a well of inspiration for arts and culture, and today we return to the source and engage with a place that has captured hearts for thousands of years: rolling hills peppered with groves of trees, stone houses and vineyards; a broad coastline with aquamarine waters and ancient ports; and thoughtful agriculture that interweaves with daily life.
At the Adventure Travel World Summit this October, delegates will experience this dolce vita of Tuscany in a fresh new way through immersive adventure activities. Through multi-day Pre-Summit Adventures and the Day of Adventure, we’ll dive into an authentic culture and experience activities like rafting, climbing, diving, hiking, sailing, canyoning and many more.
Education
In Renaissance times, the Latin term ad fontes encouraged people to “return to the sources,” realizing that a return to origins can bring the clarity necessary for fresh innovation and creativity. The 2018 Adventure Travel World Summit beckons delegates from around the world to participate in a similar opportunity: to reconnect with the core ideals at the heart of adventure travel and the community driving these ideals around the world.
